WUKPG lodges 150,000 sq ft Bolton shed plans

An 11-acre site off Moss Lane in Blackrod will be redeveloped in a £30m industrial scheme.

WUKPG, which recently completed a 200,000 sq ft industrial scheme in Reddish, has tabled proposals for a similar project with Bolton Council.

The developer wants to construct four sheds totalling 152,000 sq ft close to Junction 6 of the M61.

The units would range in size from 3,330 sq ft to 70,000 sq ft, according to plans drawn up by C4 Projects.

Johnson Mowat is advising on planning matters and MODE Transport is the highways consultant.

Subject to planning approval, WUKPG is targeting practical completion by the end of 2027.

WUKPG is active across various sectors including industrial, PBSA, and self-storage. Last year, the developer announced plans to build a £150m self-storage portfolio by 2030, starting with schemes in Northwich and Lancaster.
