Wrather/Panamint reveal Piccadilly vision

A joint venture between Oxford-based Panamint Properties and Manchester developer Bill Wrather is drawing up plans for a mixed-use redevelopment of 30 acres near Manchester's Piccadilly station.

The site, behind the Macdonald hotel, will be renamed Piccadilly Mayfield after the Manchester Mayfield railway station which closed in 1960.

Wrather Group subsidiary Ringset was used to form the JV with Panamint. Talks with planners at Manchester City Council are ongoing and proposals are expected to be published in the autumn.
