Welsh sporting estate up for grabs

Agent Baileys & Partners is offering a try-before-you-buy deal on a 1,040-acre upland estate in Wales, to give buyers the opportunity to fully appreciate the area’s potential.

The Bugeilyn Estate’s portfolio includes sporting rights across the estate, with additional sporting and fishing rights on and around the trout-heavy 75-acre Bugeilyn and Cwm-Byr Lakes. The guide price is offers above £500,000.

Tutored wilderness immersion weekends will be offered to serious potential buyers from early July, and will be delivered by an expert local team. The itinerary includes:

  • Fly fishing with an experienced tutor on hand
  • Clay pigeon shooting
  • A walking tour of the estate in the company of a local nature expert
  • Local ale, wine and produce tasting
  • Outdoor cooking with optional overnight camp and stargazing

Ed Bailey, a director at Baileys & Partners said: “Bugeilyn is a place that is far removed from the humdrum predictability of life, a landscape where you can embrace the exhilaration of the natural world and all its glorious potential.

“Brochures, videos and virtual reality could never adequately convey its character. This is a living, breathing entity that communicates directly with our instinct for freedom, beauty and open space.”

The estate lies in the Pumlumon Mountains, the highest point in the Cambrian range, just south of Snowdonia National Park.
