Waterman adds to senior management
Andy King has joined the engineering group as director of its structures business in the North of England, arriving from Bradshaw Gass & Hope where he was a partner.
King is a chartered engineer with 25 years’ experience in leading and developing international multidiscipline engineering consultancies. Waterman, which employs 44 staff in Manchester, said King will add a “vast amount of experience in all aspects of project management, design and construction.”
Before spending five years at Bradshaw Gass & Hope he worked for Halcrow for seven years and Whitby Bird Engineers, now Ramboll, for six years.
He has worked on sports stadia in Australia for the Sydney Olympics and helped deliver the University of Salford’s building at Media City UK.
Craig Beresford, chief operating officer, said: “[Andy’s] appointment reflects on our ambition to enhance and strengthen the group’s presence in the North. I am confident that we will benefit from Andy’s knowledge and experience of our market place. We are all looking forward to working with him.”
King said: “There are real opportunities in the market place and I firmly believe Waterman have some of the best people in the industry. I look forward to playing a key role in the organisation’s strategic plans and working with the teams to grow our presence in the North.”
