Warrington & Co signs up to PlaceEXPO at IFB

Warrington & CoPlaceEXPO, the dedicated property venue within the UK's International Festival for Business 2014, has agreed its latest partnership deal, with Warrington & Co, to showcase key sectors and developments within the town.

Steve Park, managing director of Warrington & Co, the town's partnership for economic growth, said: "The International Festival of Business is a huge coup for the region and one which Warrington has been part of from the outset.

"Warrington & Co announced Nuclear UK last week, a major global nuclear conference that will be held in Warrington on 25 June, as part of IFB. We are just as proud to announce our exhibitor sponsorship of PlaceExpo today.

"In the 12 months since last March, Warrington & Co has announced regeneration projects with an investment value of £476m, with £217m of that figure already completed or on site. And there are more announcements to come throughout the remainder of 2014.

"As a borough, Warrington is consistently in the top 10 'cities' in the UK for just about every category in terms of economic growth; most start-ups outside of London, fourth highest jobs growth in the UK, home to around 8,000 businesses employing 115,000 people and 18 of the largest locally controlled businesses in the North West have their headquarters in Warrington generating a combined annual turnover between them of £19.5bn.

"Warrington is a serious economic player and Warrington & Co, is a key driver in maintaining and growing Warrington's position of strength. We see PlaceEXPO as a great platform to drive the Warrington success story forward and are very much looking forward to being part of it."

PlaceEXPO will showcase regional assets and skills during the seven-week festival, with a tailor-made event venue at No 4 St Paul's Square for property and construction events and exhibits.

Other partners already on board include English Cities Fund, Hill Dickinson and Kier Construction North.

Place North West and event partner Active Profile will both be at MIPIM next week to promote PlaceEXPO to the property community.
