Warrington approves 45-apartment senior living
Alderley Group has been given the go-ahead for an over-55s scheme located off Povey Road north of the town centre.
Warrington Council’s planning committee had rejected a slightly larger iteration of the project in September against the advice of officers but gave the green light to a development featuring five fewer apartments last week.
The 45-flat development will be delivered in partnership with Housing 21, a not-for-profit provider of retirement living homes.
A spokesperson from Alderley Group said: “As our relationship with Housing 21 continues to flourish we are delighted that they are our partner on this fantastic scheme, with discussion continuing in reference to other projects we are looking to partner and deliver in 2024.
“Alderley Group would also like to thank the planning officers at Warrington Council for their proactive efforts regarding this application.”
Designed by BTP Architects, the two-storey scheme will be constructed on a 1.2-acre plot in Orford.
Cheshire Planning Solutions advised Alderley on the application. The developer’s in-house construction arm, Complete Construction will build out the development.

I hope this development does remain as retirement homes and not end up as renting out to inappropriate renters I hope there is some agreement we’re this could not happen …
