Voyage Care lodges plans for Burnley brain injury clinic
A 10,000 sq ft facility would be built off Rossendale Road to provide accommodation for 24 adults, replacing the support provider’s existing centre there.
31/44 Architects designed the scheme on behalf of Voyage Care, which would deliver a clinic to provide 16 care service bedrooms and eight transitional flats to support people with brain injuries.
Bedrooms would be 200 sq ft, while flats would range from 400 sq ft to 500 sq ft.
Proposals also feature a 400 sq ft communal kitchen and dining room, a 600 sq ft lounge area, and a 200 sq ft training kitchen.
There would be five car parking spaces, one disabled bay, and nine cycle spaces provided for visitors.
Approval would see the demolition of Voyage’s existing two-storey, 13-bed facility on-site to make way for the centre’s expansion.
Gillings Planning is the planning consultant for the scheme.
Also on the project team is transport consultant i-Transport, engineering consultant Hydrock, and ecological consultant RammSanderson.

I think this looks like a very sympathetic design that should blend in well to the surroundings whilst also delivering something new and improved
