Village pub handed to community

Robinson Brewery, represented by Savills, has sold the Running Pump in Catforth, Preston to a private investor, who has gifted it to the community.

The property was marketed at a guide price of £275,000. The two-storey public house has been gifted by the new owner back to the village of Catforth to ensure its longevity as a pub.

Situated in Catforth Road, surrounded by a mixture of residential properties and farmland, The Running Pump is situated within a 0.286 acre site. The pub features two distinct sales areas, a pool room and owner's accommodation upstairs including four bedrooms, living room, kitchen and bathroom.

Tom Cunningham, associate director at Savills, said: "The Running Pump is a popular and successful local pub and we are very pleased to have assisted in making sure that it is retained with in the local village."
