Veteran Mallinder to leave Savills

The consultancy has confirmed that director Pete Mallinder will be leaving the business at the end of March 2026.

A well known figure in the regional property scene, Mallinder was one of the founders of Savills’ Manchester office, setting up the operation in 1996 alongside Mark Ridley, who retired from full-time work with the firm at the end of 2025, and the late Patrick Joynson.

Nick Penny, joint head of UK investment at Savills, said: “Having joined Savills in 1996, Pete was part of the original team to launch our Manchester commercial office which, under his guidance, has grown into the firm’s largest regional hub.

“Over his remarkable near-30 year journey with the business, Pete has been an integral part of the regional and wider national investment team, most recently as joint head of the Northern investment team.

“We wish him all the very best as he embarks on new ventures and have no doubt his legacy will continue to inspire future generations at Savills.”
