Vella signs up for Trafford Park warehouse

The vehicle repair company has leased 20,500 sq ft at Tenax Cross, the most recent development at the Greater Manchester industrial park.

Vella Group signed the 10-year lease with fund manager Fletcher King, which owns the unit located off Tenax Circle, close to Tenax Road in the centre of Trafford Park.

The warehouse, called Tenax Cross 3, reached practical completion last December and is a detached unit with offices on the first floor. It is situated close to the motorway network outside Trafford Park.

Consultancy JLL was the lettings agent on the deal. Robert Kos, an associate in the JLL’s industrial and logistics team, said: “The industrial and logistics sector has performed well throughout the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

“This letting at Tenax Cross demonstrates that there is strong demand for grade A buildings in prime locations, and it cemented the decision to speculatively develop the unit.”

Paul Andrews, a fund manager at Fletcher King said: “We’re pleased to be welcoming the Vella Group to Tenax Cross. This is an excellent location for the business to be located and the new build gives the company the ability to grow.

“This is a turbulent time for the market, but this letting is testament to the dependability of the sector.”

Another warehouse at the site, Tenax Cross Two, completed in 2018.
