UKREiiF VIDEO | How to be part of the skills shortage solution

Bringing more young people from diverse backgrounds into the built environment is crucial to building up the workforce of tomorrow. Regeneration Brainery chief executive Michele Steel and Lloyds Bank managing director for real estate and housing Caroline Snowden discussed how they are working together to accomplish this.

The two spoke with Place North West editor Julia Hatmaker after a busy few days at UKREiiF in Leeds, where Regeneration Brainees were out and about, networking and asking questions.

You can hear their thoughts about the skills shortage, the importance of diversity, how companies can be part of the solution, and the value of bringing young people to events like UKREiiF in the video at the top of this article. You can also watch it on the Place North YouTube channel.

Lloyds Bank is a Regeneration Brainery partner, working with the non-profit to attract more young people into the construction industry. Lloyds has highlighted a skills shortage as one of the problems impacting the delivery of new homes. Read more about why Lloyds partnered with Regeneration Brainery.
