Two senior hires at Place North
Place North is excited to welcome Sally Gibson, editor for Yorkshire and the North East, and Sean O’Connor, commercial director of Yorkshire and the North East.
Both new starters have established careers in B2B publishing and events and come on board as Place North strengthens its market position as the leading media partner for the property industry in the North of England.
Sally Gibson said: “I’m excited to join Place North and get involved in what I can already tell is a vibrant, busy, and energetic industry. While the built environment is a new sector for me, I’ve had an incredibly warm welcome from everyone I’ve met so far and I look forward to continuing to get to know the people who make up the dynamic Yorkshire and North East property industry.”
Sean O’Connor said: “I am thrilled to join the Place North team, I know what a fantastic brand Place has built within the industry. I look forward to developing further our presence in the Yorkshire and North East regions and being part of a fascinating and far-reaching industry.”
The team at Place North, employee-owned since April 2023, is passionate about bringing the industry together through daily news coverage and dedicated sector events.
Sally Gibson works alongside Neil Tague, Charlie Valentine, Dan Whelan and North West editor, Julia Hatmaker, in the newsroom.
Sean O’Connor joins Dino Moutsopoulos, managing partner and head of commercial, in the commercial partnership function of the business.
