Turley adds to economic planning team

Turley Associates has hired Gavin Amos as an economic planner from Capita's Urban Vision partnership with Salford City Council.

Matt Spilsbury has been promoted to associate director. Spilsbury leads on viability appraisal, affordable housing negotiation and Community Infrastructure Levy advice.

Richard Laming, head of economic planning at Turley Associates, said: "We have seen our portfolio of housing and mixed-use work grow as confidence returns to the North West's property market. Our investment in the team adds expertise in terms of measuring the economic impacts of development, promoting sites, working with developer consortia to bid for land, advising on viability and deliverability and calculating housing requirements."

Turley Associates now employs five dedicated economic planners in Manchester. The company hired throughout 2013 to create an integrated team that now offers planning, design, heritage, economics, engagement and sustainability services for all built-environment sectors.
