Trio of deals as ex-recycling site sold in Ellesmere Port

Agent LM6 has sold 137,000 sq ft of industrial property on behalf of Sims Group UK at the metal recycling group’s former facility in South Road, Ellesmere Port.

Three buildings have been sold, the largest of which, comprising 98,000 sq ft on a 10-acre plot, has been bought by occupier Westland Horticulture.

Roadshow business Event Marketing Solutions has acquired around 21,000 sq ft, while investor Harper House International has purchased the 17,000 sq ft Unit 5-6 building.

The whole site extends to 15 acres. Although individual sale prices have not been released, the overall site was originally marketed at £3.7m

Tony O’Keefe, director at LM6, said: “We are delighted that the sale of the South Road site will support Westland Horticulture’s operations and facilitate the growth of EMS’s ambitions in Ellesmere Port.

“These sales, together with speculative development locally highlight the benefits of the Enterprise Zone in working closely with occupiers, investors and developers to support the growth of the wider Cheshire and Warrington economy.”

Cushman & Wakefield was the joint agent.
