TLT regional base exceeds 100
The headcount at the law firm’s Manchester office has reached 103, little over two years after arriving in the city during the summer of 2013. The Spinningfields-based practice’s latest recruit is banking partner Paul Crighton, who has joined from Addleshaw Goddard.
Goddard specialises in real estate finance, social housing finance, property restructuring as well as doing general corporate lending work.
Graeme Orchison, partner and head of TLT’s Manchester office, said: “Paul has an excellent reputation and brings with him a wealth of experience that adds considerable value to both our local expertise and UK-wide client offering. He joins a strong and growing team that advises clients on a range of disputes including large scale regulatory investigations, high value and complex disputes and group claims.
“Throughout the last year we have continued to strengthen our presence in Manchester. This has included attracting new talent to the firm and investing in our infrastructure – particularly the move into permanent office space at 3 Hardman Square in Spinningfields where we now employ over 100 people. Hitting this key mark since launch is a great achievement in a very competitive market and shows that we offer a serious alternative that both lawyers and organisations in the North West find attractive.”
TLT Manchester attracted a five-strong team from rival Millbank Edge in September. Corporate legal director, Elizabeth Delaney and associate Kelly Harvey have also recently joined the firm from DWF and Shoosmiths respectively. TLT recorded revenues of £62.5m in 2014/15 and nationally has over 1,000 people spread across its six UK offices.
