Timber yard-to-resi plan emerges in Brinscall
Rowland Homes wants to deliver 75 houses on a seven-acre site soon to be vacated by James Donaldson Timber, which is in the process of relocating to Botany Bay.
JDT’s move to 110,000 sq ft at FIREM’s Botany Bay has freed its former site off Railway Road in Brinscall up for a new future.
Rowland has submitted plans for a mix of two-, three-, and four-bed detached and semi-detached homes to Chorley Council.
The 14 buildings that currently occupy the site would be demolished to pave the way for the project.
T10 Design and De Pol are advising the housebuilder. To learn more, search for reference number 25/00757/FULMAJ on Chorley Council’s planning portal.
Rowland’s Brinscall scheme adds to a projects elsewhere in Lancashire including Bispham, Carnforth, and nearby Euxton.

How will we cope on the local roads with even more traffic to contend with ? There’s hardly any room to pass on Railway Road and School Lane now !
