Tile Mountain latest to join Liverpool Shopping Park
The tile retailer has signed a 10-year lease to occupy an 8,000 sq ft unit at the Old Swan complex.
Tile Mountain’s Merseyside showroom is its fourth site overall, adding to existing outlets in Stoke, Stockport and Birmingham.
Under the deal with landlord The Derwent Group, Tile Mountain will occupy the unit next to B&Q at Derwent Group’s Liverpool Shopping Park, located on Edge Lane.
National bed retailer Dreams also recently confirmed it would join the park, taking the 10,000 sq ft unit at the junction of Edge Lane and Rathbone Road next to the Tile Mountain showroom.
James Maule-Finch, senior asset manager for The Derwent Group, said: “We welcome Tile Mountain to Liverpool Shopping Park and expect it to benefit greatly from the footfall of its neighbour B&Q, as well as the unit’s prime frontage onto Edge Lane.”
CSP and McMullen RE acted as lettings agents for The Derwent Group and Knight Frank acted for Tile Mountain.
Liverpool Shopping Park opened in October 2017 and includes occupiers Next, M&S Food Hall, River Island, H&M, Chiquito, TK Maxx and Smyths Toys.
In 2019, The Derwent Group’s plans to expand the complex by 145,000 sq ft were approved by the city council.
The £30m leisure-led second phase will feature a six-screen cinema, a gym and five restaurant units. The site’s former Hollywood Bowl will relocate under the proposals.
Once complete, the second phase will take Liverpool Shopping Park’s total retail offer to more than 300,000 sq ft, following the addition of 18 units.
