The Royal Hotel for sale

The Manchester office of real estate advisors Colliers International has been instructed to sell The Royal Hotel in Llangollen, North Wales.

The hotel is a period building situated on the banks of the River Dee and has 29 en-suite bedrooms, a restaurant, and lounge bar leading out to a riverside deck.

The hotel is located close to the Llangollen Railway attraction at 7 Bridge Street.

The Royal Hotel has remained in private ownership since 2001 and undergone a recent refurbishment. The hotel is being brought to the market as the current owner is planning to retire and has reluctantly concluded that it is time to sell or lease the business.

Neil Thomson, a director at Colliers International, who is selling the property on behalf of the owners, said: "We expect strong interest from a variety of buyers, hotel operators and restaurant chains. This well-presented business has strong occupancy levels at the height of the season with good levels of foot fall throughout the year; coupled with the superb location, there is exciting potential for new owners to develop the restaurant and exploit the stunning riverside setting to create a truly unique dining experience."

The owner and selling agent did not wish to disclose details of the closing price and quoting rent when contacted by Place.
