Tempest nears full occupancy
Capital & Centric’s 40,000 sq ft Tempest building on Tithebarn Street in Liverpool is now almost fully let, with Shedkm and Planit-IE taking up two of the three remaining office spaces.
Shedkm has signed a 10-year lease for a 3,100 sq ft space and Planit-IE has taken a five-year lease on 1,350 sq ft. The last remaining studio space is 1,750 sq ft.
The architecture and design firms will be joining Village Software, Broadway Partners and Gas Tag, which originally used Tempest’s co-working space before taking office units.
Adam Higgins, co-founder of Capital & Centric, said: “Liverpool’s booming creative sector is a real testament to the growth of the city, and businesses want more options that really reflect their culture. They don’t want a cookie-cutter office development. They want a space that inspires creativity and brings people together, and that’s why we developed Tempest.
“Curating the right mix of tenants has been just as important for us as the fit out. We wanted to build a creative community so have turned people away that didn’t fit the vibe and ethos at Tempest. Our residents are attracted by how cool the spaces look but they stay because of the other people they meet.
“Right away we felt like both Shedkm and Planit got what we were doing at Tempest. These are super creative guys involved in some incredible projects in the city and we’re sure they’ll fit right in.”
