Telegraph House approved after two failed attempts
Virtue Developments has won planning permission for the 72-apartment Crosby project, which met rejection twice last year.
Located on Moor Lane, Telegraph House was previously being brought forward by Crossfield Exclusive Developments.
However, earlier this year a fresh proposal was lodged by Virtue Developments, headed up by managing director David Ayem.
Sefton Council’s planning committee approved the latest iteration of the £16m scheme unanimously earlier this week.
The existing commercial building on the site will be demolished to make way for Telegraph House, which comprises 47 one-bedroom apartments and 25 with two bedrooms.
“After two years of hard work, it’s fantastic to finally achieve planning approval for the scheme, and we plan to make a start on site before the end of the year,” said Ayem
“We have completed several other residential schemes across the city region and we are really looking forward to making a big improvement to Crosby town centre.”
He added: “This is the beginning of a new chapter for Virtue Developments and we cannot wait to get started.”
The scheme was designed by Studio RBA and Savills is the planning consultant.
