Team Quest searches for buyer for £5.5m Salford PBSA site
A 1.5-acre former industrial site off Seaford Road with planning permission for a 412-bed student development is up for grabs.
London-based Estate Office Property Consultants has been appointed to market the Salford plot or sale by vendor Team Quest International, which is based in the British Virgin Islands. Bids in excess of £5.5m are being sought.
Team Quest acquired the site for £902,000 in 2017.
The landowner secured planning approval for the redevelopment of the site – on the corner of Seaford Road and Frederick Road close to the University of Salford – in 2023 and was handed a lawful development certificate by the city council earlier this year, confirming the consent had been implemented.
Team Quest International’s development would feature 148 cluster flats, providing a total of 412 beds across five and six-storey elements. The development has an estimated rental value of £4.4m a year, according to marketing materials.
The developer was granted planning approval for the part five-, part-six-storey student scheme in January 2023.
