Taylor Wimpey plans summer groundbreak in Clitheroe

Acting on behalf of Taylor Wimpey, Avison Young has secured reserved matters consent for 426 homes and a new spine road in Clitheroe, Ribble Valley.

The planning applications were unanimously approved by Ribble Valley’s planning committee.

The homes will be part of phases two, three and four of the six-phase housing development at land off Pendle Road.

The spine road will provide a bus link through the scheme from the access to phase one off Pendle Road through to Littlemoor.

James Berggren, associate at Avison Young said: “The approval of both the new houses and the spine road mark a significant milestone in meeting the increasing demand for high-quality homes in Clitheroe.”

Gareth Bancroft, associate land director at Taylor Wimpey added: “After the fantastic success of the first phase of this scheme we are excited that these planning permissions will now enable us to proceed with delivering the next phases of the scheme.”

Taylor Wimpey hopes to begin construction in the summer.

Baldwin Design are the architects on the scheme.
