Taylor Wimpey beefs up land team

The housebuilder has expanded its North West land and planning department with the appointment of Max Mutemererwa as land manager and Megan Holden as assistant land manager.

Taylor Wimpey is ramping up its land acquisitions in the region, with its latest buys including land off Liverpool Road in Prescot with planning permission for a 227-unit residential development known as Orchard Park.

In addition, the company has recently been selected by government agency Homes England as the preferred housebuilder for the 325-home David Whitby Way development in Crewe.

Mutemererwa joins from Avant Homes where he was land manager, and he was previously a land buyer at Countryside. Prior to that, he was assistant land buyer at retirement housing specialist McCarthy & Stone.

Holden, meanwhile, joins from Millwood Designer Homes where she was a graduate land manager, following a planning internship at Savills in Manchester.

The two newest recruits to the team are responsible for sourcing new land opportunities for future development, reporting to Taylor Wimpey North West’s land and planning director Ian Harrison.

Said Harrison: “We are committed to building vibrant communities and have some great land prospects in the North West. Max and Megan will help the team continue to develop schemes that people are proud to call home.”
