Sutton Kersh ends year on £40m

Merseyside auctioneer Sutton Kersh sold 520 lots and raised £40m at its seven auctions in 2014.

At the final sale of the year on 11 December at Liverpool's Marriott Hotel, Sutton Kersh sold 52 of the 68 lots offered and generated proceeds of more than £6.6m.

A fire-damaged vacant residential property in Conwy Drive in Liverpool sold for £130,500, more than £90,000 above the guide price.

Commercial property Customs House in Union Street sold for £261,000, while a former health clinic and offices in Ince Green Lane in Wigan sold for £122,000.

A residential investment on Battenberg Street in Liverpool sold for £52,500.

Sutton Kersh is now inviting instructions for its first auction of 2015 which takes place on Thursday 12 February.
