Sutton Kersh announces October lots

Sutton Kersh is selling more than 100 lots at its auction later this week, which is set to be one of the biggest of the year so far.

The auction on 29 October includes a period property previously owned by a housing association off Queens Drive, close to Calderstones Park and Allerton Road.

Currently the property has been converted into 10 self-contained flats, but has planning permission to create seven apartments and two four-bedroom new build properties within the grounds. The property is for sale for £600,000.

Other period properties include the Woolton library, a vacant sandstone building in the heart of the Woolton Village conservation area, with potential to become a residential property, subject to the necessary planning consents.

Other highlights include a number of terraced properties, with guide prices from £25,000 for a vacant two-bedroom middle-terrace property off Smithdown Road, which following a full upgrade and refurbishment would be suitable for re-sale or investment.

The auction also sees several city centre apartments for sale, including a two bedroom flat in Liverpool’s Beetham Tower, with a guide price of £150,000.

Commercial lots available include six self-contained ground floor retail units on Speke Road, close to Liverpool South Parkway, with a guide price of £350,000 to £375,000.  Four units are currently let producing £49,975 each year with a potential income of £63,375 when fully let.

Interest has already been high with several lots selling before the auction.

Cathy Holt, head of auctions at Sutton Kersh, said: “All our auctions this year have or have been close to having triple figures in terms of lots, but this auction looks set to be one of the biggest of the year. Interest has already been high in the properties coming to auction, in fact we’ve already made £1.8m of sales in the last few weeks from properties which were due to be auctioned on Thursday.”

The sale takes place on Thursday 29 October at the Liverpool Marriot Hotel, at noon.
