Surface finishing company nabs Bury industrial park site
Finishing Techniques, or Fintek, has purchased 1.32 acres at Chamberhall Business Park with the intention to build a 20,000 sq ft facility.
A planning application has not yet been submitted to Bury Council.
Guide price for the St Modwen Developments property was £475,000, but it is understood multiple offers were received and that the final offer was more than that amount.
Paul Nolan of Nolan Redshaw represented developer St Modwen on the deal. Knight Frank acted as joint agents.
“This is good news for Bury as a borough, Bury Council and also St. Modwen Developments,” Nolan said. “Fintek are an excellent high-tech local employer and a company born and bred in the Bury area. It is pleasing to see them expanding and investing locally.”
Chamberhall Business Park sits off Harvard Road and can be accessed via the A56. The entire park is 17 acres. St Modwen has split the development of the park into two phases, the first of which has all but one of its units under offer, let or sold.
That first phase consists of a series of block buildings that range in size from 2,500 sq ft to 44,000 sq ft. The second phase of construction will include offices and leisure schemes.
It will be nice to see the bare site turned into a useful building. Jim
