Styles & Wood lands major fit-out projects
Interiors business Styles & Wood has added two Manchester projects worth a combined £6.4m to its workload, landing a £3.7m office-to-residential conversion and a £2.7m project at One St Peter’s Square.
On behalf of DTZ Investors, Styles & Wood will convert office space at 12 St Ann’s Square, above the St Ann’s Arcade retail, into 21 apartments, with completion scheduled for autumn this year. The project that adds to the growing trend for small-scale apartments projects in the retail core, following schemes such as Huron Properties’ project at 8 King Street and Equity First winning approval for nine flats at 6 St Ann’s Square.
At One St Peter’s Square, owner Deka Immobilien has instructed the firm to fit out 75,000 sq ft over four floors into open plan spaces, although no details of any deal have been released. The work will complete this summer and marks the third project that Styles & Wood has been awarded at the building, having delivered fit-outs for DLA Piper and Addleshaw Goddard.
Styles & Wood is also on site with the £9.5m refurbishment of 67-75 Mosley Street for Boultbee Brooks, where two buildings are being reconfigured into a single 64,000 sq ft office building under the project management of OBI Property.
Tony Lenehan, chief executive of Styles & Wood, said: “Our project delivery business has continued to secure some impressive briefs in Manchester. The underlying strength of the city’s real estate market – demonstrated by the sheer diversity of work involved in these contracts – is providing us with valuable reference projects for our work across the UK.”
