Stryker takes space as Towers nears capacity
US medical technology business Stryker has taken 3,850 sq ft at Towers Business Park in Didsbury, South Manchester.
The firm has its UK headquarters in Newbury, and said its expansion into the north will help it accommodate its recent acquisition of Imorphics, a medical imaging company previously based at Manchester Science Park.
Towers Business Park comprises 10 offices, let to 24 different businesses including John Lewis and BA. The 289,100 sq ft estate was acquired by listed property company Kennedy Wilson Europe in May 2016 for £82m.
Mike Pegler, head of UK asset management at Kennedy Wilson Europe, said: “Stryker’s choice of the Towers illustrates how appealing the quality of offices, as well as the location and connectivity for businesses.
“Towers is currently implementing a health and wellbeing programme of events for tenants, with a focus on building a community and increasing tenant engagement and productivity.”
The deal takes the occupancy level at Towers to 98%, with 6,500 sq ft remaining vacant.
Colliers International, CBRE and Edwards & Co acted for Kennedy Wilson, with JLL representing Stryker.
