Stobart names new CFO
The haulage giant and logistics property developer has announced the appointment of Mark Adams as chief financial officer.
Stobart said the new CFO will take up his position on 28 November. Adams has 20 years’ experience in senior finance roles in sectors from retail to education, rail and airports.
Most recently he was interim CFO at Pets at Home Group and, before that, Cognita Schools for two years, also as interim chief financial officer. Prior to these roles he was CFO at Hastings Insurance Group, easyJet, Helphire Group, Alpha Airports Group, STA Travel Group and Prism Rail.
Andrew Tinkler, chief executive of Stobart Group, said: “I am very pleased to welcome Mark as CFO. His broad financial and commercial experience across a range of sectors will be very valuable as we execute our strategy of growing our operating businesses to create value and realising value for shareholders in our Infrastructure and Investments divisions.”
The previous CFO for the group, Ben Whawell, was appointed chief executive of Stobart’s energy division in July.
