Steel frame complete at Logistics North shed

Exeter Property Group and First Industrial have completed the construction of the steel framework on a 360,000 sq ft speculative warehouse, within Harworth Estate’s Logistics North in Bolton.

Savills and JLL have been instructed as joint letting agents for the new unit, which Savills said is the largest speculative development in the North West.

Called 360, the warehouse will total 357,700 sq ft, including 340,000 sq ft of industrial space, two storey offices and 74 HGV trailer parking spaces. The facility is due to complete in August.

Exeter Property Group and First Industrial purchased the 18-acre plot from Harworth in November 2015, for an undisclosed sum.

Logistics North was granted outline planning consent in December 2013 for 4m sq ft of distribution and manufacturing space, over a 250-acre estate. The project is backed by Bolton Council and the Greater Manchester Combined Authority.

Occupiers include Aldi, MBDA and Joy Global.

Jonathan Atherton, industrial director at Savills, said: “The completion of the steel framework is a significant milestone for 360.  We have already received strong interest from potential occupiers attracted by the high quality design of the building and excellent connectivity of the site.”
