Starship lands at Peel’s Hythe
The modular housing provider has taken 4,600 sq ft within the Wirral Waters office block, becoming the building’s first occupier.
Starship Group is relocating to Hythe from Oaklands Office Park in Ellesmere Port, signing a 10-year lease. The company will occupy half of the second floor within Peel L&P’s speculatively developed office scheme.
Joint agents Matthews & Goodman and Avison Young acted for Peel L&P.
“Starship’s endorsement of Hythe is great news for Wirral Waters,” said Richard Mawdsley, director of development for Wirral Waters at Peel L&P. “It is fantastic that Wirral businesses, like Starship, are seeing the potential of this great location, along with its outstanding sustainability credentials, and are wanting to return to their local roots.
“We are very excited about our new relationship with Starship Group as our values are very closely aligned and we both believe that further opportunities exist for us to work together in the future, so watch this space.”
Dave Dargan, managing director at Starship Group, added: “We are excited to call Hythe our new home. When looking for a location for our head office, the synergy of innovation, sustainability, and local enterprise between Starship Group and Wirral Waters meant that Hythe was an amazing place to grow our business.”
Hythe, which provides a total of 25,000 sq ft of workspace across three floors, forms part of the £4.5bn waterfront regeneration project Peel is delivering in partnership with Wirral Council.
Glenn Howells Architects designed the scheme and GMI Construction built it.
A relocation to these new Birkenhead offices but shows if you build quality accommodation then you can attract clients , hopefully soon businesses from outside the area will take note and come to the Wirral waterfront, which has so much to offer and unrivalled views.
