Stanleybet relocates in Liverpool

The betting company is moving into a 5,300 sq ft office at Bruntwood Works’ The Plaza, relocating from a larger office at Exchange Station.

Stanleybet Group, which is relocating from around 15,000 sq ft office at Exchange Station, is taking space on the 14th floor of the Old Hall Street building.

The office will be home to around 100 of the company’s 3,000 staff.

As well as betting services, Stanleybet also develops gaming software for a range of commercial customers through its Magellan Robotech subsidiary.

Tom Green, chief financial officer at Stanleybet Group, said the move was a no-brainer.

“The location – close to the city centre, with train stations and car parks nearby – all the facilities within the building, and an inspiring view above the River Mersey from our desks made The Plaza an easy choice for the group when we decided to relocate our headquarters”.

Bruntwood Works has redeveloped The Plaza in recent years as part of its £200m Pioneer programme, which aims to create workspaces for the future.

The £3.7m investment at The Plaza includes a reimagined hospitality-led ground floor space, improved fitness amenities, and study spaces.

“The Plaza has become a destination address for a large number of aspiring, ambitious businesses,” said Tony Reed, head of commercial at Bruntwood Works.

“Its new ground floor amenities and the sense of community collaboration in the building, allied with large refurbished spaces, make it a popular choice.”

Worthington Owen represented Stanleybet on the move.

Stanleybet was originally founded in Northern Ireland and moved its head office to Liverpool in 1979.
