St Modwen recruits planning manager

Birchwood-based national developer St Modwen has hired Will Martin from renewable energy company EnergieKontor UK as planning manager for the North.

Martin spent two years at EnergieKontor UK and previously worked at DPP and Deloitte. At St Modwen, he will be responsible for overseeing the planning process for new sites and planning applications for redevelopment at current sites across residential, industrial and commercial property as well as appraising land for development opportunities across the North West, Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and the North East.

Meanwhile, the developer has secured planning consent for the second phase of Stonebridge West in Liverpool. Stonebridge West sits within Stonebridge Park, a 60-acre business park on the East Lancs Road. The decision follows completion of phase one, a 69,197 sq ft distribution depot for DPD Geopost. Phase two comprises four detached warehouse units, which St Modwen plans to develop speculatively in the next nine months. The four units will range from 5,000 sq ft to 30,000 sq ft.

Pegasus Group advised St Modwen on the planning application.
