St Helens to greenlight 66,000 sq ft warehouse
Bericote Properties could join the likes of Kellogg’s and Amazon at Haydock Industrial Estate, subject to the approval of the council’s planning committee on Tuesday.
UMC Architects has drawn up the plans, which would see a 66,000 sq ft warehouse built off Moore Park Way.
The proposals also feature 6,000 sq ft of first-floor office space, and are recommended for approval by planning officers.
A total of 65 parking spaces would be provided by the scheme, including four disabled and 14 for electric vehicles. There would also be 36 cycle and four motorcycle spaces.
Formerly agricultural land, the five-and-a-half-acre site has now been cleared.
The area has recently been removed from the Green Belt following the formal adoption of St Helens’ Local Plan in July 2022.
Lichfields is the planning consultant for the project and FPCR is the landscape architect. Hydrock is advising on transport and mining risk.
