Spanish hostel outfit moves into UK
SmartRental Group has introduced its Malacuna brand in Liverpool, Manchester, and Birmingham, taking over a trio of former PH Hostels sites.
SmartRental Group, established across the Iberian Peninsula, has made its first inroads into the UK, taking over the operation of a combined 620 beds across the three cities.
In Manchester, Malacuna, which translates directly from Spanish as “bad cradle”, is located on Hilton Street in the Northern Quarter above Wilson’s bar and provides 37 rooms and 132 beds to the city’s vibrant Northern Quarter.
In Liverpool, 60 Mount Pleasant provides 90 rooms and 362 beds.
