Space Studios bags ProVision deal

ProVision, a supplier of broadcast film and TV equipment owned by ITV, is to move its Manchester operation to West Gorton’s Space Studios Manchester, where it will take 17,500 sq ft.

The business will move towards the end of this year. ProVision is currently based in the Sharp Project, having previously been based in Old Trafford and prior to that, close to Granada in premises on Water Street.

Graham Waite, commercial manager at ProVision said: “Space Studios Manchester is a perfect fit for us and is an exciting community to be part of.  Not only does it place us in to the heart of a vibrant media hub, it also puts us in to the home of drama, which is an increasing part of our business.”

Adrian Bleasdale, chief executive of Space Studios Manchester, said: “Their vision fits perfectly with our ongoing development, ensuring that we continue to build an ecosystem for the broadcast and film industry here in Manchester.

“We’re aiming to make further announcements regarding the development of Space Studios Manchester very soon.”

ProVision was founded in 1989 and supplies cameras, lighting, grip and sound equipment across drama, factual, entertainment, commercials and feature film production.

Opened in 2014, the Space Studios production complex is currently undergoing a £14m expansion, which is due to be completed later this year.
