Shops support MCR Loves You
A total of 226 city centre shops and food outlets have signed up to a discount deals offer which supports a campaign set up to celebrate Manchester.
The MCR Loves You deals run until Sunday 4 September and are part of the I Love MCR campaign being driven by Manchester City Council, working in partnership with Marketing Manchester and the Manchester Arndale.
Anyone showing I Love MCR merchandise in 50 of the Manchester Arndale stores and Jones the Bootmaker on King Street will receive 10% off any purchase.
Cars displaying an I Love MCR car sticker from Monday until Sunday will get £1 off a day's parking in the Dale Street car park.
Other offers include three courses and a cocktail for £15 at Harvey Nichols and a 20% discount off the total bill in Selfridges Moet Restaurant.
Next weekend KRO Piccadilly is inviting people to enjoy two-for-one Mojitos and buy one and get one free on pints of San Miguel.
Laura Dyson, marketing manager at CityCo, Manchester 's city centre management company, said: "We're really pleased with the response to our appeal for offers. The Manchester Loves You part of the campaign is about retailers giving something back as a way of acknowledging the public's support over the past few weeks. It's great to see so many city centre businesses taking part."
The I Love MCR campaign was set up following riots in Manchester city centre earlier in August.
