Senior industrial hire for DB Symmetry

DB Symmetry has announced the appointment of Dan Burn as development director, after 16 years in industrial agency at JLL with four years as head of the consultancy’s North West team.

Burn took over from senior Manchester industrial agent David Brooks as head of JLL’s industrial and logistics team in 2013.

At JLL, Burn advised clients such as Miller Developments, Harworth Group and Peel Logistics and has led on some of the region’s biggest schemes including Omega, Warrington; Logistics North, Bolton; and Airport City, Manchester.

Based at DB Symmetry’s Manchester office, Burn will work on existing projects including Ma6nitude in Middlewich, Cheshire, where the company in a joint venture with Pochin, is bringing forward a pipeline of development plots to accommodate a range of buildings from 90,000 to 600,000 sq ft.

In addition, he will be involved in new strategic development opportunities across the region.

Andrew Dickman, director at DB Symmetry, said: “Dan needs no introduction. His impressive track record and high reputation, having worked at senior level in one of the UK’s most respected agencies, will further strengthen our team at management level and his appointment reinforces our commitment to the long-term development plan we have in place.”

Burn continued: “This is a rare opportunity to join a well-funded and highly capable firm, and was simply one I couldn’t turn down. I believe my skills and experience of working with both institutional investors and occupiers will complement and add to the strong team that is already there.”
