Senior Government names sign up to MIPIM UK
Six government ministers are expected to attend the MIPIM UK property conference next week, due to take place from Wednesday 19 October at Olympia in London.
Due to appear are Sajid Javid, Secretary of State for Communities & Local Government; Greg Clarke, Secretary of State for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy; Gavin Barwell, minister for housing, planning and London; Andrew Percy, minister for Northern Powerhouse; Marcus Jones, minister for local government, and Greg Hands, minister for trade and investment
MIPIM UK is the country’s largest exhibition and conference for property professionals, and was established as the UK’s answer to international real estate show MIPIM, which is held each March in Cannes.
The programme includes discussions on the next decade of development in Manchester, opportunities in Liverpool, the future of the regions post-Brexit, and a “battle of the regions” Northern Powerhouse seminar which will feature Sir Howard Bernstein, chief executive of Manchester City Council, alongside Ged Fitzgerald, chief executive of Liverpool City Council, and senior representatives from Leeds, Newcastle and Sheffield.
The conference is in its third year, and will take place at Olympia in London from 19 to 21 October. Among the local authorities from the North West participating will be Liverpool, Knowsley and Greater Manchester.
