Segro signs up more to Trafford Park

Segro, the industrial property landlord that controls 5.7m sq ft of warehouse space in the North West, has reported new lettings at Trafford Park.

Segro acquired 3.2m sq ft at Trafford Park outside Manchester through the Brixton takeover in August last year.

Worldwide provider of advanced healing technologies KCI Medical has taken units 20 and 21 at the new build Premier Park development, comprising 25,080 sq ft.

Siren has taken unit 14 Westbrook on a three year lease, comprising 2,470 sq ft, which is located within Trafford Park. Lifting Gear UK has occupied unit six Guinness Road, comprising 2,972 sq ft, and Kerry Logistics has signed up for land for lorry parking at 3 Wharfside, both located in Trafford Park.

Hazel Lambert, leasing executive, said: "Premier Park is an excellent facility within Trafford Park, and based upon early experiences, Segro is confident that the remaining space will let rapidly. In conjunction with our successes on the more established Trafford Park stock that we acquired from Brixton, we are encouraged by momentum at Trafford Park and look forward to doing many more deals with like-minded customers."

Matt Ainscough, managing director at Lifting Gear, which designs, manufactures, repairs and supplies lifting and mechanical handling equipment, added: added: "The deal was turned around very quickly to fit in with Lifting Gears business planning, and the terms were very flexible and reasonable. The staff were very helpful and accommodating, 10 out of 10."

In addition, Selecta UK occupied 9,098 sq ft unit 11 at Premier Park after relocating from unit 23 Westbrook Park last year.

P3 and King Sturge are retained agents on Trafford Park.
