In 1938 Vincent Harris designed the Manchester Town Hall extension for the municipal trading departments of the city. The Gothic style sat comfortably between Harris’ recently completed Central Library and Waterhouse’s earlier Town Hall, writes Matt Pickering of CallisonRTKL.
