Hurstwood clinches £5.5m for Lancashire housing

The housebuilder wants to add 90 homes to its ongoing redevelopment of the former National Savings and Investments site off Preston New Road and Mythop Road. 

Developer Blackburn Waterside Regeneration has secured consent from the local council for 140 homes, part of its mixed-use redevelopment of the former paper mill in Feniscowles. 

MCI Developments, part of housebuilder Keepmoat Homes, has submitted an application to Wyre Council for 39 affordable homes on land west of Garstang Road in Barton.  

Barnfield Blackburn, a joint venture between Barnfield Developments and Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council, has started work on an access road at its Mill Bank Business Park site off the M65.

Blackburn with Darwen Council is seeking feedback to inform a masterplan for the site of the former Darwen Moorland High School in Holden Fold.

Rossendale Borough Council has granted planning permission for 30 homes at the site of the former Sigma Soap Works in Irwell Vale.

The housebuilder is one step closer to being given the green light for a 70-home scheme at Royal Albert Farm off Pathfinders Drive, three years after Homes England submitted outline proposals for the site but the decision making process was delayed.

The housebuilder, part of Hurstwood Holdings Group, has won planning permission to redevelop a five-acre site in Newchurch into 30 homes.

Social housing provider Onward Homes has secured planning consent enabling work to start on a £5.9m affordable housing project in Great Harwood.
