Gladman progresses Stockport retirement flats

A new-build hospice at the St Ann's site and a first phase of 200 homes at Wilmslow Road are set to progress in the Stockport suburb. 

FO Developments has progressed plans for its £100m Broadway Green scheme, the mixed-use redevelopment of a 121-acre site in Chadderton, following the approval of 160 homes. 

Developer Lane End Group has been given permission to build 116 homes at the former Horwich Loco Works in Bolton, part of Bluemantle Group's £262m redevelopment.

Housing association Salix Homes and partner developer Step Places have completed the purchase of two parcels of land in Seedley, enabling their 157-home project to advance.

Reserved matters approval is expected next week for 116 affordable homes, the next phase of the 1,700-unit masterplan at the former Horwich Loco Works site to come forward.

Councillors will this week be asked to approve the second full-year strategy for the town's Mayoral Development Corporation, which has committed to delivering 1,000 town centre homes by 2023.

Space formerly occupied by Marks & Spencer in the town centre could be redeveloped into 32 apartments, while a former warehouse in Church Street has been put forward for conversion.
