Savills doubles Manchester footprint
Taking an additional 15,300 sq ft, the chartered surveyor is set to occupy the ground, first, and fourth floors of the Belvedere come mid-2026.
The signing of the lease means that Savills will claim 32,000 sq ft – roughly a third of the 104,000 sq ft building – as its Manchester base. Increasing the size of the office makes sense, as Savills’ Manchester team has grown from 240 in 2017 (when it last increased its footprint) to 400 today.
“Manchester remains a critical market for our business,” said James Evans, executive director and head of the firm’s Manchester office.
“We are proud to have played a small part in the evolution of the real estate market in Manchester and look forward to the future with excitement,” he continued.
“Like other businesses growing in the area, we are function of our talented people. With so many professionals choosing Manchester as the place they wish to pursue a career, we are fortunate to be benefitting from this.”
Savills represented itself on the deal, with Edwards and Co acting for Belvedere owner Deka.

They already occupy ground and first?

Hi Alan – you are correct. I was misinformed and have now fixed the story with the correct information – Savills will soon occupy the ground, first, and fourth floors.

So do Savills get a fee for letting space to themselves?

Great news. Savills firmly established as ‘Top 3’ in Manchester alongside CBRE and JLL.

Top 3 of what? most likely to take a fee and put their feet up for the next few months?

@Anonymous – if you think deals (particularly significant ones) happen in the space of a couple of months, you clearly aren’t involved in property.
