They are based at Russell Bolton Consulting’s Manchester office and part of a team of 13 others at One Balloon Street.

Patel joined RBC 3.5 years ago, while Alderson has been on the team for a year. Both were previously senior consultants at the company.

Alderson’s experience includes time as a director at UDL and Cityheart. Patel has previously held the role of partner at Rider Levett Bucknall.

Both had roles at the now-collapsed Investar Property Group – Alderson was head of development between 2019 and 2022. Patel was commercial director between January and May 2021.

Russell Bolton, co-founder and director of the consultancy, said: “It’s fantastic to be able to announce James and Ilyas’ promotions, further strengthening our management team.

“We remain focused on expanding our service line and pipeline, with James spearheading our development management offering and Ilyas consolidating and growing our commercial management capabilities.”

The consultancy has been involved in various projects in the North West, including Trafford Gardens, Stopford Park, and Rochdale Town Centre.
