Runcorn’s £23m office to complete in October

Construction of a £23m office building for chemical company INEOS is underway and expected to complete in the autumn.

Bam Construction was appointed main contractor to build the 86,000 sq ft project following a tender process.

The four-storey office in Runcorn will house 475 employees of Inovyn ChlorVinyls, a subsidary of INEOS.

Bam has so far erected the steel frame of the building, which has been designed by Glasgow-based architect Michael Laird.

Other industrial projects that Bam has worked on include an advanced manufacturing centre for Unilever in Port Sunlight, Merseyside, and the headquarters for INEOS in Grangemouth, Scotland.

Ian Fleming, regional director at Bam, said: “We’ve got an experienced team and strong track record working for major clients like INOVYN, but this build is a challenging one so we will need to bring these qualities to bear. We know people who come to work here will appreciate attractive new office conditions that will really transform their old working environments.”
