Runcorn shopping centre adds tenants

Halton Lea Shopping centre in Runcorn has signed three new tenants.

Fashion retailer Koko White, foot spa Footalicious and accessories store Terry's Boutique have all taken space.

The new openings have created eight jobs.

Terry McElory, owner of Terry's Boutique said: "We started out as a pop-up and were impressed with the high footfall numbers at the centre, so have moved into a permanent unit.

"In our first couple of weeks of trading, we've met our forecasts and are confident of good Christmas results."

Lindsay Bellis from Halton Lea Shopping Centre said: "We're delighted to have attracted three more independent retailers, it's a great addition to our overall retail mix which includes a combination of household names and brands unique to our region."

A spokesman for the 545,000 sq ft centre said it attracts about 150,000 shoppers a week. Car park improvements are underway and further developments are planned for the centre's 40th anniversary next year.

It is owned by F&C Reit and has 70 tenants.
