Rumford signs up BCD Travel for Chapel Street
Corporate travel agent BCD Travel is promising 65 new jobs after taking 6,000 sq ft at 20 Chapel Street in central Liverpool.
The company, which has its headquarters in Holland and operates in 90 countries, has agreed a 10-year lease at the 155,000 sq ft Grade A building.
Thane Jackson, vice president of BCD's northern division, said: "As our business continues to grow we are extremely pleased to establish a strong presence in Merseyside to deliver our brand of travel management services to businesses both in the North West and across the UK.
"We are confident we will find a wealth of bright and ambitious people who represent the resurgent spirit of Liverpool who would like to work with us.
"We expect to bring 65 new jobs to Liverpool over the coming 12-18 months and we are delighted to be able to invest in this great local community in this way."
Other tenants at the Rumford Investments-owned building include Liverpool Football Club, Barclays Corporate, Barclays Wealth, Bank of Ireland, Broadway Malyan, Ernst & Young, Panmure Gordon, Charles Stanley Financial Services and Plexus Cotton.
Rumford's marketing manager William Coleman said: "We are pleased that we have once again brought in tenants from outside the region which affirms our belief that the building is Liverpool's premier office location."
The agents for the scheme are Mason Owen, Hitchcock Wright & Partners and DTZ.
Good to see an international business recognising what Liverpool has to offer and chosing to buy into it. I wish them all the best and hope more follow their example.
