Riverside chooses contractors for £192m framework

The Liverpool-based housing association has appointed six construction firms to deliver new-build homes in the North West, part of its aim to create 1,000 homes a year across the UK.

The firms appointed to the Riverside Group’s four-year development contractor framework are:

  • Prospect GB
  • Vistry Partnerships
  • Engie Regeneration
  • Lovell Partnership
  • Casey & Co
  • Compendium Living

Under the terms of the framework, the contractors are to deliver projects ranging between 30 and 300 homes.

Earlier this month, the £625m Cutting Edge framework launched. The framework is managed by an eight-strong consortium of housing associations, and contractors are being sought to build residential schemes across the North of England.

The consortium for that four-year framework is led by Riverside and also includes Regenda Group, Salix Homes, Together Housing Group, Onward Living, Progress Housing Group, Magenta Living, and Irwell Valley Homes.

Last week, the JV North consortium of North West housing associations and councils, opened a £560m framework to build more than 4,000 homes across the region.

JV North, whose members manage a total of around 125,000 homes, is inviting contractors and consultants to bid for places on its four-year framework.

Consortium members include Bury Council; Community Gateway; Johnnie Johnson Housing; One Manchester; Peaks and Plains Housing Trust; Plus Dane Housing, Sovini; Stockport Homes in partnership with Stockport Council; Torus; Trafford Housing Trust; Weaver Vale Housing Trust, and Wythenshawe Community Housing Group.
