Retail specialists join Sixteen

Sixteen Real Estate, the Manchester agency established in 2016 when Nick Nelson and Andy Backhouse left Colliers International, has expanded beyond its office and industrial focus with the addition of two retail specialists from Cushman & Wakefield.

Nicola Harrington and Alex Haigh each bring ten years’ industry experience to the team. Haigh spent three years with the Co-operative Group before joining Cushmans.

Harrington said: “After a number of years working alongside Alex we thought it was the perfect time to take on a new, exciting challenge. Sixteen gives us the platform to dedicate more time to a select number of clients.”

Nelson, co-founding director at Sixteen, added: “Since starting Sixteen nine months ago we have exceeded all expectations. We are working alongside a mixture of institutional clients and local property companies, which has already helped us achieve the biggest city centre inward investment deal in 2017 and the biggest South Manchester deal in several years.

“This success has given us the footing to entice Nicola and Alex to expand Sixteen’s service line across all principal sectors.”
